Last night, April told one more person that she had cancer. No, it was not Dominic. Her mom? Nope. Her sister? Nope. (Although this seems to be coming soon.)
She poured her heart (off the record) to the carrot juice dude. He too has cancer in this episode. The major storyline of this episode is intertwined with April interviewing carrot juice dude for a story on cancer. While researching, she finds a kindred spirit and someone who gives her a few good pieces of advice.
#CarrotDude Advice:
- Give yourself time to wrap your head around this before telling anyone…
- BUT don’t deny yourself a support group.
- Surround yourself with people who can handle it…because it’s a lot to handle.
Carrot dude’s awesome advice was followed by Beth giving April a piece of her mind, in the way only a best friend can. After April decided to sabotage her relationship with Dominic, Beth encouraged her to “take a real risk” and stop playing it safe. If any, this is the moment April should stop running away from anything that can make her happy.
But, on the quote front from last night’s Chasing Life, it was Dominic FTW. After learning some (even more) exceptionally sad news, April ran to Dominic’s apartment. Where he said this:
“Sometimes the best people aren’t the ones that get to stick around, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still the best people”
April is once again exasperating, funny, and real in this episode of Chasing Life. We’re definitely counting down the days until we can watch the next episode:
