“Sometimes the best people aren’t the ones that get to stick around, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still the best people”
In this week’s episode of Chasing Life, Dominic comforted April after she lost a loved one and she couldn’t stop asking, “Why him? Why now? Why when he has a family and job he loves?” In many ways she was probably trying to answer these questions because she was now in her friend’s shoes — forced to face mortality.
It’s a scary thought. For April, to know that she might die and for those who are left behind when someone does pass. There are so many what ifs and whys to answer that you run the risk of getting lost in them.
In all honesty, it sucks knowing that a person, who is the best kind of person in your book, dies. But, in a lot of ways Dominic is right. They die too damn young, but it doesn’t stop them from still being that awesome human being you remember them as.
