#TellUsAboutThem Recap: Here’s How You Introduced Those You Love and Lost

I read a lot of essays and get a lot of emails. All contain stories of those you’ve lost. All are gracious enough to thank me for the space I decided to create one day after I lost my own grandmother.

I tend to reply with very long emails and always, always thank you for deciding to email in the first place. I know I thanked you all on May 28th — our first birthday, but I want to thank you now.

Thank you for making it a point to share your stories — whether through essays or captions. You changed a lot of lives in the last few days because maybe someone didn’t feel comfortable enough sharing, but they felt at home when sifting through the #TellUsAboutThem hashtag.
